Introducing Louie: Founder of Navlytix

Louie Blanchard

Meet Louie. He's a 20-year-old Vietnamese-New Zealander with a genuine passion for aviation, strategy, and the business of flight. Growing up between two cultures gave him a natural curiosity for how the world connects, and it didn't take long for that to land squarely in the airline industry.

From a young age, Louie was drawn less to the aircraft themselves and more to the decisions behind them. Why do airlines fly the routes they fly? How do they pick which aircraft to operate? What actually separates a profitable network from one that loses money? While most people see a flight as transport, Louie sees economics, strategy, and competitive positioning playing out at 35,000 feet.

Why Navlytix exists

Navlytix came out of a frustration Louie kept hitting: the tools that airline strategists actually use are almost all locked away. Network planners, fleet optimisers, route economic simulators. They either sit behind expensive enterprise software, live inside airline planning departments, or just don't exist in any form a normal person can access.

If you wanted to know whether a route made economic sense, you built a spreadsheet from scratch. If you wanted to visualise an airline's network and find the gaps, you stitched together data from ten different places. There was no single platform that pulled these tools together in a way that actually worked.

So Louie built one.

What Navlytix is

Navlytix is an aviation analytics platform built to make airline strategy thinking accessible. For people getting into the industry. For enthusiasts who want to go deeper than flight tracking. For anyone who has wondered why airlines make the calls they do.

The platform brings together a set of tools built around real industry inputs. The Route Economics Simulator lets you model route profitability using actual cost and revenue drivers: CASK, yield, load factor, fuel price. You can see the P&L before a single seat is sold. The Fleet Strategy Analyser compares aircraft head-to-head on the metrics that matter for a given route. The Network Visualiser maps real airline routes on an interactive globe so you can see where carriers compete, where they don't, and where the opportunity might be. The Live Flight Map tracks airborne traffic in real time.

These aren't toys. They're the kind of analyses that happen inside airline strategy teams, made available here for anyone who wants to think seriously about aviation.

What comes next

Navlytix is still early. More tools are in development, more data to integrate, and a long list of features still to build. The roadmap includes deeper financial benchmarking, historical route trend analysis, and eventually a full suite covering everything from slot strategy to revenue management.

The goal is straightforward: to be the platform that any aviation strategist, whether at a major airline or just starting out, would want open on their second screen.

If you're as passionate about aviation as Louie is, you're in the right place.
